Got a fruit tree?  Need help?  We got you!

Let us help you care for your tree and grow healthier fruit! edABILITY Farm’s Fruit Tree Specialist will prune and train your fruit tree in order to improve its health and productivity. Most fruit trees require between one and two hours pruning in the summer season.  We will thoroughly clean up after pruning.

Tree Care Form

If you would like edABILITY Farm to harvest your tree, follow the three steps below:

First — tell us more about your tree!   Using the  Register Your Tree form, * .  You can register your tree with us at any point in the year!

Second — schedule your harvest!  At the start of the harvest season (as early as May), you’ll be contacted by our Harvest Manager.  They will send you an email titled “Harvest Authorization Form”.  The form gives us permission to harvest from your trees and als o starts the scheduling process.  In order to help us plan our harvest schedule, we request that tree owners complete the form as soon as possible.  Priority for harvest will be given to trees authorized before the priority date of July 31st.  Typically it takes at least one week after you fill out the Harvest Authorization Form to schedule a harvest.

Third — confirm your harvest date and prepare your tree!   As the date of your harvest approaches, a harvest team member will be in touch to confirm the day and time that they will be by to harvest your fruit.  Your harvester may request photos of the tree and/or fruit to help them understand the size of the tree and to ensure that the fruit is ripe and ready to be picked.  The day-of, please be sure that the tree is accessible for your harvester by making sure that gates are unlocked, pets are put inside the home, and there is a clear pathway to and around the tree.

A note:  While we try our best to visit as many homes as possible to pick fruit, we are not able to harvest fruit from all authorized trees. Pest damage-free fruit will be given higher priority. If you have buggy fruit, or if you are able to pick your own fruit, please consider picking your fruit and setting them into paper bags, totes, or boxes for an edABILITY Farm staff or volunteer to pick up.   Please see our FAQ below for more information on the types and quality of fruit that we are able to accept.

*Trees need to be registered only once. If you have registered your tree with edABILITY Farm before you do not repeat this process. Your tree is already in our system! But you will still need to authorize your fruit to be harvested this year.

Harvest your own tree through our U-Pick It program:

Picking your own fruit saves edABILITY Farm time and resources, while allowing you to donate your fruit AND time with us. Simply pick your fruit and place them into paper bags, reusable totes, or boxes, and let us know to come pick them up! Please email harvest@edABILITYFarm.com or call our office line at (435) 790-8940 at least  2-3 days before you harvest so that we can plan when to come by to pick up the fruit.  You are also welcome to drop-off fruit at our office.

Don’t wait until the fruit starts to drop to the ground! If the fruit has already fallen we can set aside this windfallen fruit for our Bio-waste Collection . We accept any fruit that have chunks missing, broken skin, mold growth, or patches that are squishy and/or leaking juice.  Donated fruit of this quality will be immediately composted.   Please see our FAQ below for more information on the types and quality of fruit that we are able to accept.
